Shiploading Facilities

Port Kembla Gateway exports copper
concentrates on behalf of NSW mines
to customers in Japan, Korea and China
through our modern shiploading facility
which was commissioned in 2006.
We also import products such as gypsum,
soda ash, iron ore and fertilisers through
three mobile hoppers located on the jetty.

In addition, we handle general cargo such
as containers, mining equipment, steel
and concrete pipes, yachts and defence
department materiel.
There are two berths available for vessels
up to 200 metres long and the occupancy
rate is low so this means no waiting time –
no demurrage!
